Nickelodeon India Launched December 1, 1977 (Nickelodeon brand) October 16, 1999 (Indian branch) Owner Viacom 18 Area India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, the Maldives, and the British Indian Ocean Territory Nickelodeon India is one of the major broadcasters of Zig & Sharko. It is notably the first channel to dub the original, dialogue-free episodes with character speech. On Nickelodeon India, Zig & Sharko often airs back-to-back with Oggy and the Cockroaches, a series which shares much of the same production crew. On Nickelodeon, the series premiered in early 2011, a few months after its initial debut on Canal+. A webpage for Zig & Sharko was added to the NickIndia.com site around this time. Since then, all 156 segments of the show have been broadcast on the channel. As of May 2017, Zig & Sharko still airs on Nickelodeon during three daily timeslots (9:30 AM, 3:30 PM and 9:30 PM). Each timeslot encompasses a thirty-minute block of three Zig & Sharko segments and commercials. on October 2022, Nickelodeon India acquired the rights to Season 4. As one of the longest-running broadcasters of the show, Nickelodeon has produced multiple exclusive commercials and bumpers to promote Zig & Sharko. A gallery of some of these can be viewed below.
